To me it shows how single minded the Skeleton can be. It was all most killed, but that didn't cause it a pause and think about what it's doing. Instead it refocuses almost immediately on revenge and the villagers (wandering stars). But I'm thinking of the whole storey while I'm guessing you are just looking at one post. So you know I'm not saying you are wrong. I believe that it is the reader and not the writer that knows best. I know it should not be taken literally but I could not avoid thinking about how much power the speaker apparently showed in this piece.
